Default help choosing springs, 315's on back

After putting my new 17" 5 spokes on, it looks like my car only has 15" wheels! I really need to lower it a little bit, I'm looking at the BMR 1", the Hotchkis 1", and the Eibach 1.25" inch.

do you have any of these on your car? how much did it really lower it? by chance did you do it with 315's?

My only rubbing righ now occurs on the inside of wheel well (adjacent to the tire) and only under HEAVY cornering..i don't think the overall height of the wheel and the fender is really an issue, but I might be wrong.

Suggestions please, thanks. scott

and of course, I'll listen to other suggestions other than the springs listed above, I just know I cant' lower it too much, but I've got to try something.

Im diggin the Eibach 1.5 front, and 1.3" rear drop right now also....wonder if it'll be an issue? I'm hoping with the stronger springs, it'll actually HELP with the side to side, or swaying of the car that has caused it to rub in the past.

BMR are about an inch. I have hotchkis and I got about a 1.3" drop. Before that I had G2 springs which offered slightly more then the Prokits I had before. If I remember the prokits gave me exactly 1.5".

Either way, you're definatly going to need an adjustable panhard rod. I'd pick your springs depending on what you want to do with the car.

Scott, With the off-set of your wheels I think you'll have a rubbing problem. JMO

Al, on the inner fender well, or the lip of the body? I'm just not liking this look right now, even to the point that I'm toying with the idea of buying two new ones for the rear, 9" with my stock tires and selling these two current 10.5's with the 315's.

The width of your tires are bad enough but the back spacing of those wheels ( the ones you have now ) will give you more displeasure then pleasure if you lower your car, the last thing you want is to worry if your tires are going to rub each time you drive your SS.

it's a very well respected opinion though, so I really need to see a car with 315's and one of these springs before I do anything

oh man, I'm a dumbass sometimes...I bet I've looked at Thunder racings site 2 dozen times over the last few days, and I've never noticed that the kit that lowers it 1.25 all around is for V6 cars!
