I was just recently thinking about how on Mustangs of the same year have to have the carpet pulled up to weld on sfc's and how on the f-body you do not, unless I've been hearing wrong. I thought that this is because the f-body has very little material other than the carpet. When I pulled it up to install some sound deadener I was surprised how little there was there. What worried me is that my exhaust guy told me that the subframes are extremely thin and it's tough to weld the sfc's on, you have to really take your time. So has anyone had full sound deadening installed and then had sfc's welded up? I'm barely half finished but half my floor is covered with a vibration dampner.

Our subframe connectors do not weld anywhere that there is a risk of creating a fire inside the vehicle from contact with carpeting or sound deadening material. There are many options out there, so I cannot comment on anyone else's design - I would contact the manufacturer directly with you concerns.
