Default v6 rear brake backing plates

are the baking plates on a v6 rear end the same as an ls1 car's rear end? Looking to upgrade to an s60 so I need some backing plates, and there is a v6 car in the junkyard. also are 4ch and 3ch backing plates the same?

The backing plates are the same v6 or v8.

4-ch backing plates have a hole for the sensor, 3-ch backing plates do not.

Hope this helps.

great thanks a lot! if the car in the junkyard is a 3ch car, could I just drill the hole? would there be an issue with this?

The location of the hole for the sensor is critical, I don't recommend drilling a 3-ch plate to make it into a 4-ch unless its done on a vertical mill with a 4-ch plate for a reference.

Carl is correct and yes LT1 plates are different due to parking brake design.
