I did a quick search and turned up nothing, I have a 04 gto that while going down the road sometimes the steering feels like its locked I give it a little tug it makes a pop sound and releases?

I have peddlers tire rod ends less than 17k miles on them, and the car is going in to get new strut bushings/bearings on Monday (tires are wearing funny) could this issue be related to that or something else? And I got a lumbar epidural so no I have not crawled under my car or do I feel like it today, any info would be great!
