Default Brake Mock Up......Is this correct?

I mocked up my brake system at the master cylinder today. My big question is the direction of the residual valve....do I have the arrow headed in the correct direction? I assume it should point in the direction that the brake fluid is traveling to the drum brakes?

Thanks for any advice!

I'll take a stab at it.

Logic assumes that the arrow points in the direction of flow, as it is a one way valve.

I haven't looked at/in your build thread in a long time so I probably missed it, but what kind of hose/line is that? If it's soft hose, then I'd think about replumbing with some hard line. Seen people have pedal issues with a lot of soft hose in the system. If it's rigid plastic, then you should be good to go. Seen a lot of success with that and have even used it myself on a few projects.

You only need a residual pressure valve if you master cylinder is mounted lower that you brakes.

The brake line is Speedway Motors kevlar brake line. I'm not all that happy with how jumbled it is anyway, and a foot was the shortest line available. I haven't seen the rigid plastic brake line....I might just check that out.

I was under the impression that having a disk/drum brake combo without power brakes would benefit from the residual valve for the rear drums?

Thank you both for the helpful advice.
