Adjusting ride height with QA1's or Vikings??
I just purchased a set of Viking coil overs with the 550 spring rate. I put them on my car and wanted to lower the front to about the height I had it with the Eibach Sportlines.
In order to get my car that low, I had to move the bottom support down so low that the spring no longer has ANY preload. It has about an inch of space between the bottom and top support.
Is this normal? Can I run the car like this? Are the vikings even supposed to be able to lower the vehicle (I was told you could go as low as you want with them when I purchased).

We have our WS6 super low. There is a gap above the spring when the car is in full rebound, i.e. jacked up.
We ran 200 auto-x laps and 300 highway miles last weekend w no trouble.
You should be good to go.

You'll have to look into tender springs. They will keep tension on the springs when the suspension droops. It prevents the normal service spring from unseating or clattering. This is the right way to build coilovers if you don't have separat preload and height adjustments.
