By using a 550 up front and keeping the same rear spring rate (and height), theoretically the car would increase under steer tendency at the limit. If you're not at the limit, you'd probably be ok.

Most higher rate rear springs also lower the car, unfortunately.

The 350 fronts might be a good compromise.

Thanks

350s sound good then. And won't beat me up as bad.

I'm not looking for super duper handling. So that'll probably work for a cruiser.

Have you guys done any set up with the Viking stuff on a primarily drag oriented car? I just got a set that will be running 300# springs up front and stock springs in the rear. Curious to see where you'd recommend setting the compression and rebound to start with?

If you already have the shocks then look in the box for the instructions and it gives you settings for drag, cornering, and comfort I believe! Mine front kit looks top notch, wouldve had them on today but i messed up one of the factory upper spring mounts, they suck and are rusted, good idea to buy new ones, wouldve already been done!

You can set the Vikings for drag, cruise or handling. That is the cool thing about the double adjustable shocks. We can simulate the curve of a drag race shock with the adjustment.

Hello I am running a 430 LSX block in my 02 Transam (Stock Ride Height). I was leaning towards doing the 350`s up front as I mostly use the car for street use with hte once a year strip trip. That being said would you suggest the 350`s or go up higher from there to maybe 500 for the added weight of the iron block?

Please let me know. Again she is a street car mostly...

Thanks!

Hey, good afternoon. Thanks for the inquiry.

You could safely use the 350's with that combo for general street use and the occasional strip blast.

Our full weight LS1 had 300's in it for a long time and we always wanted just a bit stiffer which means 350 will do the trick.

This same house car now has the 550's and you can definitely tell they're a handling spring without the "snap" weight transfer of the 300/325/350 style.

So with the extra weight of iron block it won't impact the 350s that much?

Sportlines are pretty low, to maintain that height but still have a nice ride I would recommend 350lb front springs and 125lb for the rear.

I hope that helps,

I haven't seen a dyno chart but based on feel, I'd guess 6C 12-14R.

[This is a guess and is no way a guarantee].
