Default Help with front shocks

Hey guys,

Recently bought a 97 trans am.

It has the eibach lowering springs on (red) and the stock DeCarbon shocks.
It also has a 5.3L iron block motor (about 80 lbs more weight than a comparable ls1 motor)

Looking to replace the stock shocks with something aftermarket.

I really want the car to be comfortable, but responsive. The car is a summer car with occasional drag racing. I will not be road racing the car.

Should I be looking for something that is adjustable?

Here is how the car sits right now.

Any recommendations? (not sure if the lowering springs or the extra weight would factor into your recommendation.)

Thanks

There are a lot of choices out there, but for the avearge street/strip car the Afco, Strange, or Viking shocks are the most popular. Each has pros and cons, but this season the Viking shocks have been the most popular, and considered to be the best bang for the buck.
