Default front lower control arm interchange

hey guys.

2001 z28, fe2

i need a left front lower control arm. plan on upgrading later, but want to get a stock one for now to get the car moving.

all the yards are asking me f41, fe2, fe4.

i was under the impression the lower control arms were the same, and only springs, and sway bars were different, and spindles depending on brakes.

ive been searching and cant seem to find a solid answer.

any insight? the local yard has a 99 v6 vert in good shape, and i was hoping i could grab that, its only $25 in the pick an pull yard.

I've swapped several, including v6s, they all look the same to me. Should be no difference. You could cross reference new replacement parts and see if part numbers are the same between models.

the difference for the FE2,FE4,F41 are the bushings the arms come with when getting a new one(not that they're still available) from GM. Different levels of suspension spec'd out with different bushings. the bare arms are the same.

they're all the same back to 93. doesn't matter if its a v6 or v8.

i read that was for the uppers. the v6 has holes in the bushings and v8 are solid to make them stiffer.

If anyone needs a set of arms I have a pair. New Moog bushings and ball joints, never installed, went tubular after I had the stuff replaced so they been sitting on a shelf.
