My car has 160,000 miles on her and a daily driver. Still has original suspension besides the LCA's. At times the car would shake pretty violent to the point the change in the cup holder vibrates and the ashtray flap rattles. It doesn't happen all the time. I can actually feel the vibration starting to happen. I can be doing 65 riding along normal and then all of a sudden the violent shake starts. Damn near feel like the wheels are bouncing like a ball at times. Slowing doing doesn't help but when I do slow down I hear and feel a deep grinding noise under the console along with a slight bumping under my feet. I'm thinking its something dealing with the ujoints and maybe my ball joints. Any suggestions on what I could do before taking it to the shop

The grinding and vibration kinda sounds like it could be something with the torque converter if you have an auto that is. Could even be just a tranny mount possibly. The tires bouncing sounds like a bad shock but could also just be a loose bolt in the shock assembly. Just what comes to mind.

my lt1 did this I put a factory mount in it and a 1le driveshaft and it was good as can be but always happened tho at 70 mph +

yeah my car is a auto with performabuilt level 2 trans and the torque converter is whatever they use. I just finished driving and im pretty sure the torque converter is acting up. The converter would unlock at highway speeds and lock back after a mile or 2. For the suspension it was worst. It felt like I had 2 flat tires in front. Tires felt like they was bouncing like *****. I did notice when I turned to the right alittle I could feel the vibration or bumping under my feet.
