Default Thump on hard decel/accel

2000 camaro m6 make a thump I can feel on hard decel and when I go to accel again another thump, I know it must de drivetrain related. Checked torque arm mount(relocated) and lca. Can't get under car till later in the week and looking for ideas to look for. All I can think of is transmission mount but is it normal to break those. Car only bolt ons

yes, the transmission mount is bad about tearing in half. But usually is only an issue when the torque arm is still mounted on the tailshaft of the trans. Without the torque arm, there is no real load on the tailshaft of the transmission. Do you feel vibration and the thump in the floor board/seat area? Or does it seem to come from the back seat/rear end area? I have seen the transmission crossmember bolts back out also, and will cause this. Especially when the torque arm is directly on the crossmember.

It seems to be in the tunnel, and I checked the crossmember bolts and they seem fine

replaced the trans mount and it did not fix the problem. I got under the car and started banging and pulling on things and the only thing that seemed to move was the toke on the drive shaft. could a loose tailshaft bushing cause this?

Hey aren't you the guy with the blown QA1s? If that's so you may be bottoming out your shocks. It will sound just like what your talking about. I know a lot of people with QA1s and haven't heard anything about them leaking like that unless there was a problem.

Sorry, but you still might want to see if they are bottoming out. I had a friend of mine that had that same issue it sounds like. He had bought a new set of shocks and they ended up being to long. He tried everything because the sound seemed like it was in the tunnel.

Your axle will hit the rear bumpstops long before the rear shocks actually bottom out. If the bumpstops are removed the axle will likely hit the exhaust before the shocks bottom out.
If its not the trans mount my guess would be the exhaust hitting the underside of the car.
Do you have a full length torque arm thats just relocated or do you have the short chassis mounted one?

Running a full length relocated and kooks true dual, I don't think it's hitting the exhaust because on stands it doesn't even seem to hit and that's fully extended. I think over the weekend I'm just going to go and remove and retorque bolt by bolt on the rear and torque arm mount because I'm outa ideas

I mentioned earlier that the trans yoke wobbles a little bit, I just figuring it was because I'm running a oem shaft with a 9", could it be poor torque arm set up or bent torque arm(way unlikely I know) because it has been fine since I installed it

Still no luck figuring out what is making that noise, I checked all the bolts attaching the rear as well as the trans crossmember. I basically have no clue and I may end up just taking it to someone. Could it be worn bushings on my lca? I can't find anythjng cracked
