What brand double rod ended PHB did you have? What kind of noise did it make (clunk over bumps, rattling, ect.)?

My car is my dd. I changed the panhard bar and LCA's around a year ago. I went with Founders poly/poly non adjustable panhard bar. Obviously you need an adjustable one if you're lowering it. I went with poly/rod ends for the LCA's and I am very impressed how little noise I hear from them. The LCA's really made a difference for me when going over bumps on the highway, no more step ladder feel from the live axle.

I went with the Founders 3-piece poly control arms and on car adjustable panhard

I installed my BMR springs and SLP Bilstein shocks on the rear and got a chance today to recenter the rear (was off about 3/8" after installing the shocks and springs over the weekend), recentering the rear is a VERY important step, completely changed how the car feels today vs yesterday on EXACTLY the same roads.

I will be going with Bilstein shocks, wish I get some Koni's. My money will not let that happen. With over 250,000 miles on stock shocks. The Bilstein got to feel better.

So it sounds like at a minimum you'll at least need new bushings in the factory LCAs and PHB if you've got that many miles on the car, and if you don't have the right tools to press out the old bushings then there's more cost to either buy the tools or pay a shop to do the work for you. So going the route of replacing the stock phb and lca's with Founders parts is definitely not a waste; IMO. You might also want to replace the sway-bar bushings and end links unless they're in very good condition.

at 250k miles I would consider ALL bushings to need replacing, thats what I'm assuming on my just shy of 206k mile car, already done the rear with the parts in my previous post and have all Moog bushings and ball joints for the front for when I tear it apart in a few weeks.

Hey folks dont mean to hijack the thread but has anyone had any problems with the regular poly/poly LCAs binding? I do some spirited driving from time to time but mostly straight line stuff and highway driving

No experience here, but I bought the control arms that where SPECIFICALLY designed to over come this design flaw of the solid Poly/Poly arms, so clearly it has been deemed enough of an issue by every manufacture that they all offer some alternative and that alone tells me to avoid them.
