Default Poly motor mounts

So I got my Midwest Chassis K member and A arms not too long ago and man does it look sweet just waiting on my Viking coilovers to arrive before I put everything on but I figured why not change the motor mounts while im at it.

Im looking for some poly motor mounts and im not really too sure where to look or what brand per say to trust when it comes to them. Lots of different price ranges out there and just wondering whats up with that. If yall can help out and direct me to someone who sells at a decent price that'd be much appreciated. If its not a sponsor im totally open for PM's lol

Thanks

From what iv looked through it's usually energy suspension or prothane. I'm switching them out while I drop the k member if it makes any difference on installation ease

I'm sure you could get them from anywhere. Had mine for over 5 years so I don't remember where I got mine.

I got the prothane from the big mail order type places. I liked them. They are a PITA to get the engine mount bolts back in though. I should have just bought solids on hindsight though, but you cant go wrong with poly. Enjoy

Either the Prothane or the Energy Suspension polyurethane motor mounts are very good options and what we recommend to everyone.

You honestly can't go wrong with either brand but you will be happy with the Prothane polyurethane motor mounts.

I think it's curious, nobody asked if poly is right for the application -- what's the OP use the car for? If a DD, then new rubber OEM ones might be more palatable. For a drag car, well poly or solid -- sure.

This is common hearsay, but I'm running poly engine/trans/torque arm mounts and notice nothing out of the ordinary over the OE rubber stuff I tossed. Either my rubber stuff was horrible or people don't install the poly stuff correctly. Just some food for thought

I agree with this 100%. There should only be a very minimal difference if any when switching over from rubber motor mounts to poly ones. I would honestly never recommend replacing the rubber motor mounts with new rubber motor mounts just because there is such a minimal if any change in ride quality when going to a polyurethane motor mount.

For the record, this car is not my DD. Although even if it was if probly still go with poly. I have a noisy clunky jerky Detroit locker in my 9 inch with a 6 speed so if I can make due with that I can make due with anything hahaha

Yea I have prothane mounts and had the same problem with them...they fought HARD the whole way till we finally got it lined up. Anyone have issues with the motor being tilted or rocked toward the drivers side after motor mount install?
