Default lca's or lca relocation bracket. Which is better for a budget drop?

So I just finished putting my 315's and OE wheels ZR1's on the rear. They look great...except that massive wheel gap!

next mod seems like it is gonna have to be a drop.

I already have an adj. panhard bar, but I realize i'm gonna need coils, and lower control arms but I am on a budjet and the Fiance' only lets so much money get spent on the SS at a time for now.

My question is: Would I be better off buying adj. lca's for now and getting the LCA relocation brackets later, or should I get the brackets first and stick with the stock LCA's for now until I have more money for the adj. LCA's further down the road? What are you guys running? Do the brackets really help that much or are they a waste of money if my LCA's are adj.?

neither LCA brackets or adjustable LCA's will lower the car...

the cheapest way to lower the car slightly is remove the rubber isolator at the top of the rear springs and slide some 5/8" heater hose around a coil and that will get you maybe 1/2 inch drop...

LCA brackets should be first since they put the axle back to center after lowering.. then you can get new control arms

I was thinking that, I guess I just wanted to have some sort of a second opinion before I jumped on the summit site and start dropping bills

replacement aftermarket LCAs' would/should be the same length as the OEMs' unless they're adjustable. LCA relos are for traction enhancement and/or geometry correction for lowered cars.

OK, first off, stop right there.

Go to FoundersPerformance.com (one of the sponsors here) and get the parts you need way cheaper then anything from Summit.

when lowering you need SHOCKS AND SPRINGS to lower it correctly, don't use the stock shocks with lowering springs, also budget for a front end alignment to be done IMMEDIATELY after installing everything.

after that then if there is money left over you go to the relocation brackets to CORRECT the ANGLE of the CONTROL ARMS or if you are experiencing a vibration in the driveline after lowering then you need an adjustable torque arm to allow correction of the pinion angle, if you don't get a vibration then you don't need to really worry about the torque arm.

once all that is said and done then go for the control arms, now if funds can support it (by going to founders instead of Summit) then get both control arms and relocation brackets so you only have to tear everything apart ONCE.

Not sure how I missed this before, but give me a call and I can put together a package deal for you with everything you will need to lower your car properly. There are a few factors to consider when choosing your parts and I can help you select what fits your needs and budget
