Default popping noise when braking?

so as the title says I have an issue when braking or accelerating from a stop. I dont feel anything but i hear a loud pop/klunk in my front end like something shifted. I put it on ramps checked to make sure nothing that i could see was loose. I retorqued the wheels to make sure but didnt fix it. anyone else had this kind of issue before or know where i should look?

its a 98 z28 m6 with about 150k on it.

On my 89 trans am, I had something similar and it ended up being a loose strut mount bolt.
