Default question on drag shocks ?????????

My rear shocks are worn and I was doing some research on drag shocks( I don't know much about them). Seems like best bang for the buck are ce2700's and summit racing g7700. Just looking for little better traction(transfer) as I need to buy shocks anyway. My t/a has full boltons/ BMR suspension package(new era)stock springs(heater hose mod). I don't want to run drag radials as I drive a lot of miles. Ran a 13.9(a4 /3:42) with crappy 2.2 60ft. Question is how do these handle on the street/corners/ect? Will these make any sort of traction improvement? Your thoughts ? These part #'s are correct right? Thx

Rear drag shocks only I don't think make a difference in weight transfer. At one point I had Strange double adjustable shocks on my car. Rear only, I didn't notice a difference between them and stock rear shocks in road handling and track times. Because of have stock struts and the front sway bar connected the car wouldn't maintain the weight transfer, the front end would come up and go right back down.

I'd start with a good double adjustable coilover for the fronts and then work your way toward the rear. Viking coilovers seem to be the best bang for the buck. Get yourself a set for the front and then run those drag shocks in the rear, or put on the Viking double adjustable rear coilovers and have yourself on hell of a hooking badtard.

^^^ This.

Give us a call, we can go over your combination and set you up with the right shocks and springs to make your car work very well on both street and strip. You have to be careful on what you purchase as it may not work that well, or possibly be worse than what you already have!

The Competition Engineering 2700 drag shocks definitely aren't the best ones out there but I have had some luck with them and have gone some mid 1.3X 60ft times on them with a well set up car.
