Default 4Th Gen Springs on 3RD Gen Car

Will the stock springs from a 4th gen. WS-6 T/A fit on a 96-97 3rd gen. Formula?

Uhhhhh, 96-97 cars are still 4th gens. In fact, all '93-'02 cars are 4th generation cars. Third generations f bodies ran from 82-92.

I don't believe the springs are the same, but I could be wrong.

Default Springs

My mistake on the years/ generations. The reason I am asking is that a friend bought his son a 97 Firebird. It had been wrecked and was repaired- while it was in the shop a LT1 motor was dropped in and a spoiler and some T/A badges slapped on. Nice looking- but is an evil handling car. His son has been off the road twice with it. We think they dropped a V-8 into a V-6 car and the balance is way off. When you drive it, even with a dry road, it feels like it is standing on it's nose- sort of like riding a zippy scooter with all your weight on the front - squirrley as hell andf ready to spin out at any second.
Need help- car is dangerous.

the rear springs have been the same since '82 i believe. i know third gen fronts will not work, and just by looking in a catalog that has 93-97 different from 98-02, i would say no
