painting my brakes, what paint and color
ok so im redoing my brakes cause last time i didnt do it real good and im doing new rotors and pads so i figured that i woudl repaint my calipers. i have a bright red trans am and last time i used plasticote's bright red caliper paint. only problem is now its not in a spray can. where can i find some brigh red high heat paint?

They should have specific "brake caliper" paint at Canadian Tire (oops, I meant to say "Pep Boys") which is made to take that much heat. If you can't find brake caliper paint in a spray can, engine paint should work too.

I used Duplicolor for mine. I used the 500 degree version. The brakes won't even come close to that hot. Duplicolor works well as long as you use it right. If you don't. it will screw up the whole paint job. Allow no more than 5 minutes between coats. Use 3-4 coats of color and 1-2 of clear. You can get it at Autozone or Napa. The 1200 degree paint is crap.
Commerical Coatings works well too. I use their "Ford Red" for my engine parts... Yes, FORD red....

I've got a Pewter TA, just did the brakes in black for the caliper, silver for the rotor hub and bracket. Used 500 degree Duplicolor from Autozone. Invest in a steel brush and clean clean clean the caliper, otherwise the paint will pool.
