Default DIY alignment tools

Ive seen a few videos where people are using simple bubble levels attached to their hubs or lug nuts when looking for camber adjustment. Any of you guys do this and if so any tips? I think I'm going to make a tool tonight to get my rear wheels squared up but don't want to risk chewing up tires if this method isn't that accurate.

I designed and made my own alignment tools and have used them on several cars with good results.
