A thread in the Automotive News, Media section, there is a thread where rear caster adjustment is blamed for a C7 losing on a road course to a GTR. IMO, adjusting caster on wheels that don't physically swivel is ridiculous & would only result in messing up the the cars ability to turn properly when set up by those not familiar w/ it. Further, caster adjustment on wheels that don't swivel is nothing more than enhanced toe adjustment. It's more likely that GM did this in advance of releasing a 4 wheel steering version sometime in the future.
To make the point, it was the factory that screwed up the rear toe/camber by changing rear caster in the first test where the C7 lost.

Come on...
On Ls1Tech there are definitely C7 owners whom understand what I'm asking for & can post pics. It's not as if you are giving away any road course alignment secrets. Just want to understand the "real" reason for GM to have done this. As noted above, I think it's a prelude toward future 4 wheel steering on either a C7R or next generation C8.
Now that our track is re-opening, will also discuss the design w/ the pros who come to open track days in their modded C5's to practice. Maybe they can shed some light on this rear caster thing.
