Default Old style Spohn Torque arm??

Hey guys, got a customer that bought a used 9" rear end with this style arm on it. I have never seen one like this b4. I'm guessing this is pretty old set up? He wants to use it but i say no way bc to me it looks VERY weak. His car will be as of right now 650-700 rwhp. Next summer 800+. Anyone have some info on this style arm?

It looks like the old type with the slider tube? If it is I had one of those on my car around 8-10 years ago. When I went from a TH-350 to TH-400 they no longer would make a new trans. cross-member for it because they had discontinued the design. When I asked why they said it was because they had trouble with that design breaking. I went deep into the 10's on that design with no issues but there must have been some others who had issues since that is the reason they changed designs. With 650-700HP I would definitely upgrade to a stronger torque arm. Not worth the risk at that power level in my opinion.
