Default Name this part




hey guys what is name of the part in the pic that is above the upper front A arms? The A arms were bolted up to it and i'd like to purchase new ones. Is it the shock mounting bracket? If it is does anyone know where online i can find them to purchase?

You can try rockauto or just have those powder coated

Have to do what I did.



Actually after being told couldnt without buying entire assembly... i bought a used set second hand dirt cheap off here and then powdercoated

your rubber bushings look new, can you tell me where to get those? I looked on rockauto and couldn't find.

They just cleaned up. Those are original ones car isn't driven in winter (Iowa here) and only 60ish thousand miles on it.

do you know what that part is actually (the insulators) called and where i can purchase? I took your advice and just got the other part powdercoated in black. thank you

That is NOT the part

And as far as I have been able to find out its not purchaseable and can't even locate part number for it

I couldn't find that insulator which goes in the UCA mount either when I rebuilt mine. The parts manual calls the mount a 'front upper control arm support, PN 11515744', which was only available as part of the UCA. They list a bushing used with the UCA, but it's the bushing used with the bolts which hold the UCA to the support.

I didn't use any. The one which was in it fell out because it was beat to hell and I couldn't get it to stay in. I just put a lot of marine grease in the top of the shock to try to mitigate the shock nut from rusting.

You could probably find a used set off ebay but otherwise leave it off as some cars didn't have them and no one has been able to find a manufacturer for them. Pack it with marine grease and drill a small hole from the engine bay above it so you can pump more in if necessary and it will be fine with just the bottom isolator
