Default Lifespan of Bilstein HDs

Curious about how many miles you guys got out of your Bilstein HDs with lowering springs. I have Hotchkis springs mounted on my HDs and I'm thinking I may be close to the end of the road with them (~70k miles).

Blew a rear around 100k, fronts still felt nice when I removed them at 110k. Those were the original bilstiens that came on my car.

Most other shocks are done 40-60k. My experience with Bilsteins and Konis is that they last MUCH longer.

For ***** and gigs, I checked out how much Ohlins sets run for. . . . LOL

Do they make a set that even remotely fits in an F-body?

The set I had for my s2000 were $2700 and it took 5 months to get them. But man did they feel fast. I think there were some european 4th gens running ohlins for cup races, but those are likely highly custom setups.

What're you doing going from an Ohlin setup s2000 to a 4th gen?!?

Short answer: having fun. I also sold my mercedes for a jeep this winter. Sometimes you just want that goofy unbalanced v8 fun.
