To low, Did I do something wrong?
I have seen posts where someone has complained about the drop (too much or not enough) from every spring manufacturer at one point. And fbodies aren't the only ones dealing with this. I just put BMR's on my car and expected a 1.25" drop. I got 1.75" in front and 1.25 in the rear. Close enough for me, but would have preferred 1.25 in front too. I can and will live with it. It has something to do with the quality of the steel and the heat treating. Wheel offsets can alter ride height too along with alignment settings.
I saw someone mention taking everything apart on both cars to compare... that's certainly an option, but for a quick check of the systems, the OP can get under each car and simply count the coils and measure the wire diameter on each. A flag could be raised if he sees he's missing half a coil or if his wire diameter is off by 0.10", etc... I'd bet he finds a fundamental difference. No need to send him in with wrenches to undo all that work!
