Default LS1 front brakes with welds

As the car gets faster it gets harder to stop. 96 Z/LT1. as of now it has stock brakes and LS1 brakes on the rear. The fronts took some grininding on the calipers to get them to work and Im wondering how is the best way to get LS1 brakes to work on the front. Can you grind them or have to use spacers? Any suggestions is appreciated.

How much grinding or spacing is required with LS1 brakes to fit a 15 inch weld wheel on them?
