This happened to me, my driveshaft wanted to touch the driveshaft safety loop and wouldn't let me get at the angle needed to install it to the rear pinion. Literally I needed a 1/4" to get it away from the crossmember

You have to jack up the rear end a little and preload it a bit, then install the shaft. But you can't let the suspension sag after install because the shaft will be hitting the crossmember/loop, and you risk denting the driveshaft and ruining it

So now I either have to cut and re-weld the loop to fine tune it, or get creative when jacking the rear of the car up by not letting it go into full droop mode.

Same concept, it's interfering.

Give bmr a call or pm them here, or wait for them to reply in this thread.

You might be able to space the crossmember down a bit using some plate steel/washers..

You have an adjustable torque arm correct? You can always adjust the pinion angle back to correct for it.

I fixed it buddy told me that the lt1 trannys cross member sat lower than a ls1 there for I added the extra hight off the ls1 an welded the ls1 section on to the lt1 was 5/8 to low now fits the way better now onto setting pinion angle

I have seen this with larger aftermarket driveshafts and this setup. Also the 9" pinion sit a little lower than a standard 10 or 12 bolt. So you have both factors working against you. My suggestion was going to be to space that crossmember down to compensate but looks like you already got it squared away! Let me know if you run into anything else you need help with

I set the pinion angle the rear end came down more Now drive shaft hits so no lift time unless I undo drive shaft that extra 1/4 inch killed it on the 3.5 shaft

How did you set the pinion angle?
