I agree with Deeohgie69 here about the sagging issues associated with Ebiach. Never seen it personally, but have read about numerous cases where this has been an issue. Good news is that you're only paying 50 bucks, so if it doesn't work out its no big loss

Yeah $50 is worth it just for the fronts tbh, so you didn't get hurt on the deal if you already got them. The rears are cheap if you have to buy new ones and my fronts didn't sag at all.

Im curious do you have any measurements on the rear when you had the Eibach springs? How about a measurement on the front at the time?

No I sure don't man. I would guess that it was about a ½" lower than the front by just looking at it. I'm sure that a lot of it had to do with the oem shocks, but I used to bottom out going to down highway if I was going 65-70mph going over the parts where the overpasses meet together and towards the bottom. It felt like something was literally coming up through the bottom of the car in back. It would have trouble going over speed bumps and potholes too. After I changed them I haven't bottomed out or scraped once.

There shouldn't even be enough travel to achieve that drop in the back without resting on the bumpstops.
Is that your car in the pictures with the eibach prokit? That is roughly a 1.5" drop in those pics(unless you had a really really tall sitting factory height car for the before measurements). Sportlines that drop roughly 2"+ end up tucking the tires under the fenders on some cars, you can still see space between your fenders and tires.
ok maybe it was a bit exaggerated but it is at least 2". I've got a buddy with the stranos and his car sits about 1/2"-1" higher than mine.

It's amazing after all these years that Ebiach hasn't fixed these issues. And the crazy thing is that they cost just as much, if not more, than Strano or BMR...they should be half that considering the common and known issues that repeatedly occur lol

Eibach only cares about being first to market with their product lines, and generally give their springs a softer feel so the average consumer can run them with a factory strut. The softer spring rate just gets trashed after about 3-4 years of daily driving, especially the rear springs

I have eibach prokit springs with about 15 years of use, and 80k miles on them. I can tell you for sure mine are atleast 2 inches lower than stock now, and my rear springs are completely shot. They bottom out on everything. My rear shocks are just destroyed after about a year.

I mean it looks great, but if you go over an uneven intersection that has a rise then fall, you immediately hear the rear end slam the chassis. No I have no bump stops to fit 315's in the back with rolled fenders

That's crazy lol! You would think after all this time that Eibach would be able to fix these issues regardless of how the springs were originally designed, or designed for, etc....

I wonder if they even know honestly. The only way people find out about these issues is being on forums like this one in the first place, and there are no reps from the company on any car forums at all that I know of. They have such a huge range of cars they make parts for I wouldn't be surprised that the 4th gen being discontinued 14 years ago gets no more attention.

Makes sense. I have to wonder though if this issue is not just exclusive to the f-body. Have you heard of them having similar issues on other cars?

they are typically held in high regard in other forums as a good spring for a daily driver. there arent many other forums with active 10 year members who regularly still drive their purchased parts 10 years later so its a slanted opinion on this site with a good mix of highly tenured members

honestly why would they care.. do they sponsor race cars or anything? nope. its a dress up appearance item they advertise as a product that gives you better appearance and better gas mileage. ive owned mine for 10 years, id say i got my moneys worth. i wouldnt trust a used set though

im waiting for BMR to toss up another strut and shock sale dammit. its been a year since the last one
