Default 1999 Camaro Z28 with 6 Piston CTS-V brakes has started braking weird

1999 Camaro Z28 with 6 Piston CTS-V brakes has started braking weird. When I hit the pedal it stops nears the top almost like there's a kink in it and brakes very weakly almost feels like I'm sliding. If I push harder it brakes really hard and squeals the tires. If I brake hard and pump the brake it feels fine and acts normally but if I'm at speed and don't brake from sometime and go to brake then it starts to act funny. I'm thinking time to swap the Master Cylinder since the car has 225k miles on it. Or should I check something else?

Are you running the Z06 Rotors? I heard those have a issue with spacing. I'm looking forward to doing this swap in a couple weeks. Are you still in L.A.? I would love to see this set up in person, maybe Bobs Big boy???

To the OP, it almost sounds like you may have a sticking / stuck piston.

He has the 6 Piston Calipers which require the CTS-V rotors.

Actually it wasn't the brakes. It was an error due to a mistake a made. I got a flat one day on the rear and ruined tire. I replaced it with one I had laying around while the correct tire could be ordered and arrive at the tire shop. The tire I had on one side was 245 40 18 and the I had laying around was 245 45 18 so it was taller. It affected the ABS and made it brake weird. Once I got the correct tire installed. All that weird braking was gone.

did it show an ABS light? I feel something similar happened to me at autoX and I did have mismatched height tires as well... but I'd expect it to show an ABS light if it was having an issue.

No I didn't but I know it's was an ABS issue due to the tire on one side is about 1" taller than the other.
