I blieve so but wasnt sure, i believe the metal cap goes on the strut and the nut all the way in the top when everything is assembled , i think the washer goes in the shaft like in the middle where the upper strut mout sits, what do you think

I'm having a hard time remembering if it's for Bilsteins or Koni's, but is the washer big and thick and about an inch in diameter? If so, it goes on the shaft under the upper mount.

Ok so the thick washer goes on the shaft where the upper mount sits correct? And the other metal cap sits in the body correct?

That's what I'm recalling. You can't just have the upper mount sitting on top of the shock. You pound the metal cap on the top of the shock - I know that for sure. And then if I remember correctly, the big washer sits on that. I don't think a washer goes under the nut inside the upper mount.

I think I'm probably confusing you more than helping. I've installed several sets of Bilsteins and Konis, but it's been awhile and I think I'm mixing them up. If you could post up a picture of the washer, that would help.

I seem to recall using the dust covers from DeCarbons on the new Bilsteins. They have a built-in washer on top so I'm not sure you'd need another washer on top of those. But if it's supplied that's where it has to go.

ok so this is what you should have. those big metal caps get pounded onto the tops of the shocks as covers after you swap the spring perch. then the washer and nut go on the very top like in my picture above.

I don't recall a bump stop. If there was one there stock I would go ahead and transfer it. Basically your replacing everything with what was supplied, anything not included you reuse.
