Rebuilt my Spohn roto joints on the control arms
On my 98 Camaro. After about 7 years, I finally got around to rebuilding the roto-joints on my control arms. I probably could have tightened it further during that time, but I ordered repair/replacement innards for $25.
The delrin inside while worn down a bit compared to the new ones still held their general shape. The set screw while nice in thought doesn't work too well on a winter driven car. I had to drill them out and tap it for a new 10/32 size set screw. The lube tips were shot, so replaced those as well.
All in all very servicable after all this time and would recommend anyone tweaking their suspension setup to consider the poly/roto combo for control arms (along with a Watt's link)!
It makes for a great drag and autox setup and gives the rear feel of the car something as good or better than a C6 suspension. I have both cars so I can say that!
