I used those jeep ones. Since I had the aluminum spacer on a WS6, I used nuts as a spacer and left the factory lip in place.

Is this a good or bad thing with the angked piece vs flat?

You want the angled. Even then it's good to check for range, they may need to be trimmed to give full travel, otherwise you're limiting full suspension capabilities. The flat will go to infinite spring rate immediately which is bad in the middle of a hard corner.

Some place have the same bump stops for ~$30/pair +shipping

Rubber, not Urethane. Just bolt up, once lip is trimmed off body.

Comparison to the Energy Suspension Urethane options

. So I ordered these bump stops and have them ready to install when my pro shop guy noticed how badly my mounts are rubbing. I am running 10 inch ZO6 wheels in the back with 295 tires. On another spread it was suggested to shave down the mounting flange. Any other suggestions on here? Should I cut them off and not even run them or ask him to try to shave them down and mount them anyway

I ran 285/35/18 on a 18x10.5 +58 with 20mm spacers. So +38 offset.

Do spacers. Don't cut your stops off.

What are you guys using to machine off the lip so the cheaper (only a description of price, not quality) rubber ones noted above will fit?

I've been lucky for a long time with the stock bump stops, however I have one that is finally starting to show it's age. I'm not at the stage of deciding whether I just drop $100 on a set of OEM-like replacements or save some cash and be willing to deal with the hassle of machining the lip off. At least the latter is a long term fix for the next time I need to replace them down the road.
