Default Just a "heads up"

The new issue of 'Car Craft' magazine, the June 2018 issue, has an extensive article on brake/suspension maintenance/upgrades, for the 4th gen F-bodies. It will probable be on the newsstands soon, if not already. I received my issue in the mail today. It looks like it contains some good reference information, all in one place....

I didn't know Car Craft was still around. I haven't seen it for sale anywhere in a long time.

I used to have a subscription years ago.

I might go looking for that edition though for the f-body coverage.

Yeah, 'CC' is still around, and still one of the old time, "grease under your fingernails" magazines. If you shop around, you can usually find a $9.95/year subscription rate, which makes it a good deal, even if you just find 1-2 articles a year, that have some interest to you.

Fortunately, it looks like they have full-year digital subscriptions available for close to the cost of what a magazine used to cost on a newsstand. (When newsstands were still around.) https://www.circsource.com/store/mul...rceCode=I3BBNN

For years, I had subscriptions to various magazines including: Car Craft, Hot Rod, Motor Trend, Road & Track, Automobile. But I let them all lapse some years ago because I wasn't reading them as much and was reading (and watching) more stuff online.

I did like Car Craft, but I hadn't seen them on any magazine rack in a while and legitimately thought they were gone. Peterson Publishing owns many magazines and consolidated some a while back. I thought maybe they consolidated Car Craft into Hot Rod.

From the looks of how they are set up, we may see the article under different covers over time or posted online at some point. It looks like a lot of their online content is for part installs where a vendor may be providing parts for the story. (free advertising)

I subscribed to that magazine for quite a while, because I owned a '77 Trans Am for 25 years. It was one of the few sources for information on Pontiacs. But after I sold the car, to buy my Corvette, the magazine was no longer applicable to me........

I also subscribed for many years and greatly enjoyed it along with Pontiac Enthusiast. The late 80's to mid-90's were a great time for the Pontiac restoration and musclecar revival. Then the LS1 came out ...

I have a subscription to car craft, it was like 4 dollars.

1 - The issues are tiny and not very good

2 - The article OP was talking about was garbage. They put replacement brakes and a set of bilstein shocks on a car. Was NOT informative.

"You know as cars get older some things wear out......."

No ****.
