Dangerous sway bar?

Default Dangerous sway bar?

Replaced the strut rods and torqued to factory spec and they look too close to the tie rod ends. 1/4" clearance. Is this normal?

The suspension looks to be unloaded there, so yes that is normal. As the suspension compresses the sway bar will actually go up more in relation to the tie rod due to the end link attaching further up the arm. If the space there makes you uncomfortable, you can run a longer end link to rotate the bar up further away
