Sway bar bushing won’t take grease
Hey all, last year I installed these greasable sway bar bushings up front in my 02 WS6:
The passenger side I can grease up no problem.
However, the driver side will NOT take any grease. The gun just pumps and pumps but grease won’t go in.
Is is it possible to somehow overtighten these bushings?

Have you tried to change the Zerk Fittings? Maybe it is bad.
Just using this as an example, not sure what size you need...

No, I haven’t tried to replace it yet. It took grease initially, and it’s been covered with a rubber boot since last summer, so I didn’t even think it might have gone bad, but I’ll check now!
Thanks

Zerk fittings are fine, but the bushings just won’t take grease. I loosened the bolts and grease went straight in no problem. Unfortunately they are still squeaking

I could get under there and take it apart, which I will probably end up doing, but it’s a PITA and o definitely don’t want to have to keep doing it every year .
Im using a fully synthetic penzoil grease so it’s good stuff. It works fine on all but the driver front bushing. The other 3 bushings take grease no problem. Not really sure why this one is stubborn .
