Noise from sloppy bolts ?
Many of the bolts in the suspension are metric sized in standard size holes.....does this slop lead to noise from banging around in a hole to big ? I think so
the panhard bar has 9/16 holes in the frame to hold the metric stepped bolt they put in there ( dont get me started on that stepped bolt....why ?? just why??? )
the fixed track bar above the panhard bar has 9/16 frame holes also.... the hole in the bar itself is 9/16 but was made to fit the stepped bolt so it is not 9/16 all thru.....a dremel takes care of the nubs they press in there to make the stepped fit and let a 9/16 bolt go all the way thru
the axle hole for the panhard bar is 9/16 on the outside but smaller on the inside hole......a quick hit with a 9/16 drill bit makes it one size so you can go all the way thru
i am running a spohn panhardbar with del sphere ends ( johnny joint ) the spacer in the joint was a hair smaller than 9/16 so i needed to drill that out also.....i had a spohn panhard bar in the past with rod ends.....those spacers were 9/16 ....no drilling needed for those
i used a 3 inch bolt with metal lock nuts over using nylocks....fit great with no SLOP
