Default Torque arm bushing issues

So... according to all the other threads replacing the bushing on the front of the torque arm should be fairly simple but in my case it is extremely difficult. The top bolt that loosens the clam shell on the bracket is WAY too long to remove, even after unbolting the trans brace and lowering the trans. I recently had my transmission rebuilt and was wondering if maybe they put the top bolt in the wrong way. The bolt slides out toward the driver side and the nut is on the passenger side. Is this the correct way?

If I recall, maybe I'm wrong. But that bolt threads into the case. Maybe they stripped / cross threaded the hole so they drilled it out and added a bolt and nut. Now the bolt is so long it won't come out.

if you want to completely take the bolt out the easiest way to do it is to unbolt the tailshaft housing.....6 15mm bolts hold the housing on.....if you do take it off replace the big rubber seal and its a good time to replace the yoke seal and bushing .....i used a teflon bushing i got off ebay

From all the other threads you SHOULD be able to take the bolt out without even removing the trans crossmember. My transmission is still under warranty I just want to know if it's in the wrong way so I can go up there and make them fix it. This isn't the first issue I've had since I got this trans back.. cross threaded transmission line going into the radiator and missing/loose bolts on tailshaft, transmission pan, and transmission mount. Also warped flex plate which caused my started to prematurely fail.

Oh okay. Well I went to the shop this afternoon and showed the guy my issue and they said they'd just replace it if I threw them 40 bucks so I guess that's a fair deal.
