Default 2016 Camaro Brembos on 4th gen?

Has anyone tried installing the newer design brembo caliper from the 2016+ Camaro on a 4th gen? I can't see GM redesigning the spindles to accommodate a different caliper for the SS, and the new caliper design looks way more robust and losses the crossover tube that always seems to get damaged.

Just bought a 2000 SS to replace the one I sold years ago, had the 2010 SS Brembos on the front of my 01 SS and loved them. Want to do the big brakes again, but really like the design of the new caliper!

The new design uses 13.5 inch rotors and you can use the 13.5" stingrays rotors. They are a direct match for the fbodys hat depth and hub bore. Also many gm vehicles use those brakes, look into the Cadillac xts iirc on rock auto being the cheapest for the calipers reman

There is a thread here called "fitting brembos under 17 inch wheels" or something like that, covering a lot this already. I am literally in the middle of doing it, waiting for the right rotors, and making a video about my upgrade.

Only a 13.5” rotor? That is a bit disappointing.. Doesnt the previous version of the SS Brembo caliper allow us to use a 14” rotor? It’s been about 8 years since I’ve done this, I clearly have some freshening up to do on the subject.

goal is the fixed Brembo’s front and rear, with a 9” rear end to eliminate the c-clip “knockback” issue (and to hole up to 450hp clutch drops).

Yes they are smaller but you get the updated caliper design and .5" is hardly noticeable for stopping distance. There was a guy who kept the c clips and modified the braking system to use fixed calipers with anti knock back springs and residual pressure valves. He also used an adjustable proportioning valve.
