Default Steering Rack Bushings

I'm replacing my inner tie rods and installing a bump steer kit on my SS. While I'm at it I want to replace the rack bushings with delrin. Can I replace the bushings with the rack still on the car?

If you have NOT had the rack off the only way to get one of the bolts off is to drop the K-Member to get it out. I don't believe this has changed thru the years. When I redid my k and rack I put both bolts on upside down so the rack could be removed again without lowering k.

I'm pretty sure you have to cut one of the bolts, then get a replacement bolt and run them both up for ease. Be careful though while you're cutting the bolt because the oil pan is right there.

I replaced that bushing with delrin only because I got a new rack. Verdict of the bushing: not a damn thing changed.
