Default Springs ‘00 Z28

Sorry for the many threads, I’m just trying to get my bearings so I can get my ducks in a row. I’m looking for a minimal drop, an inch or less, and to not be beaten to death. I’d like just enough drop to help fill the wheel well a little with the stock 16’s and to help reduce body roll some. I’m looking for a street friendly set-up here, it’ll never see a race track. Does anyone make a progressive rate that doesn’t drop it 1.5”? I’ve had Eibach sportlines on another vehicle in the past and they were terrible. I was thinking that maybe stock SS springs would do the trick because I was assuming they were lower, but Google says they’re the same height. Is this correct? Any suggestions on what I should get? Not too stiff and not much lower. Thanks

Default SLP Springs

It looks like the SLP level 1 progressives might have been the ticket but I haven’t found anyone selling them. Are they obsolete for the 93-02’?

I emailed Strano and he said that there isn’t a spring on the market that’ll drop it an inch or less, and maybe I should think about a set of Koni sort shocks and lowering the spring perch.
He also said that to use the strano springs you’d need a “high end” shock so they don’t beat you to death.

Makes little sense to put on a stiffer spring and not lower the car. Most do not want that, which means the market is limited, and there is the ever present fact that there were a lot of different OEM springs and when you get to trying to split hairs too finely, you end up not being able to do it. If you want to lower it some and don't want to run a good shock like a Koni Sport and use the lower perch position with your OE spring, then you can see if you can scare up some 93-97 LT1 front springs, which are a little shorter and a little stiffer than LS1 stock springs were. BUT, that means GM OEM, not aftermarket.
