Should i bump the springs up to 150lb or would the 110lb be okay ?

Thanks to anyone with info !

I'm using the stock 114# on my TA with the 1LE front springs. This is a nice compromise for a street car. The 1LE rear springs were way to harsh.

I never have.
As far as springs wearing out, maybe but I kind of doubt it. Think about all of the hundreds of thousands of old vehicles on the road with the original springs.

nice that strano uses american springs now....but due to Rona.....hyperco has had a serious backlog of product....maybe they are caught up by now?

Wearing out stock GM fbody springs?
They are very durable in general and will go ~250,000+ miles in my opinion. Time and conditions can impact that of course. I think (but didn't test rates etc) the ones on my 02 Z28 with 250,000+ miles were past their prime. The Strano Springs didn't lower my car much, suggesting in my opinion the stock springs were sagging a little.

Here's stock suspension off my 02 Z28 w/~257,000 miles from this earlier this spring.

The stock OEM shocks are 3rd rate even when brand new. Have had several mechanics say they've seen the stock GM fbody shocks toast and need replacement at 30,000 to 50,000 miles. Hard argue with that when the tires are cupped with high/low spots from bad shocks.

My front suspension was about to fall apart per mechanic. The OEM shocks & attachment plates were rusted enough one of the shocks was about to pull through.

This one was dangerous. It was not visible either. Car had 16 easy years in North Carolina and 4 easy years in Indiana but isn't driven in winter time.

the 1st image I see what appears to be the bandaids I just received. I bet the strut tops are rusted like that bc outside rain water accumulates on the strut tower.
are you gonna steel wool those trailer hubs where the race sits and reuse hubs? or are you one the way to the scrape yard to recycle the metal?

All of the stuff in the pictures is going to the scrap yard. I took the option for Strano to assemble shocks & springs so they came with new mounts.

Koni monotube 3rd gen rears are the best regular style shock for a 4th gen. Bilstein are OK but were a bit too soft for my liking.
