Default Replacing e-brake cables

Is there a way to get some slack in the cable equalizer in the tunnel? I went from LT to LS1 rear brakes and had to swap cables to make the e-brake work. I have the mounting brackets installed at the lcr. Is there an order to how I should be installing the cables? Any input welcome.

What kind of cables are you using? If you have an LS car and are going back to the OEM LS brakes, using the OEM brake cables should be a snap.

The original cables are adjusted at each rear wheel and have a bracket in the middle of the car that balances tension. There is no adjustment in the center/middle of the car or at the handle.
