Where does this rear brake line bracket mount?
I'm reassembling everything on my car after a years-long project with lots of delays, and I need some help confirming the correct location of a part. This is a traction control car; I believe that's relevant.
This is a bracket that supports the rear brake lines on the axle end of the flex lines from the body to the axle:
And here's my stock 10-bolt. But I'm not reusing this; I'm installing a Moser 12-bolt. I'm trying to figure out where the bracket goes. I think that on the 10-bolt, it went in the circled bolt hole on top of the diff housing:
Unfortunately, the Moser doesn't have an equivalent hole. I guess I'm on my own to determine where and how to mount this bracket. I've been fighting many battles just like this with the Moser, and I now fully understand why people say it's a pain. I got this one used, from another F-body owner, and so I assumed all of these problems would already have been dealt with, but that does not seem to be the case. There were no ABS reluctors on the axle shafts, nor is there a sensor connector for a 3-channel reluctor, so I think the donor car had deleted ABS.
Can anyone confirm that I've identified the correct factory mounting point for that bracket? If I'm wrong, a photo of the correct location would be much appreciated. Thanks!
