Default problem peeling out

Ever since Ive owned my Z, I have had a problem launching the car without peeling out too much. It is not because I am an inexperienced driver, or because of bad tires, because I have had Firestone firehawks, and currently have Pirrelli asymetricos 295/30/18. I posted in this category because I thought maybe it had something to do with the suspension. The car is a convertible, and ten years old with no suspension mods.

I have no idea what kind of differential center
section would be in a '95 Camaro. Is it even
a limited slip type? If it's a clutch type posi
it may be worn out by now.

It is a 94 by the way, and the only info I can provide is that it is a 6 spd. convertible with 3.42 gears, and both wheels spin, and it doesnt have traction control. Basically, I cant plant the gas pedal through most of 1st gear without spinning.
