Default Adjustable Panhard install

Taking a turn back toward suspension again. I got a (totally kickass) adjustable panhard rod from BADZ (sponsor), and have a few quick questions:

1) Can I back the car up on ramps and do this install, or should I do jack stands?

2) How do I know when it is properly adjusted? Is this something I can do, or would I be better off taking it to a shop and getting an alignment done?

I'm planning shocks and springs next, so if I'm going to need an alignment after installing the panhard rod, I'm probably just going to hold off and get it done after shocks and springs are on.

Thanks!

Ramps worked fine for me. As long as the car does
not have a strong L-R bias the Panhard sees no
load, sitting.

I installed mine by getting the old one off, setting
new one over it and turning the head until they
lined up eye-eye. That gets you to where you were.
Put the new one in and check the fender gap on
both sides. If you want to even it out, tighter pulls
the driver's side in and looser pushes it out.

Be sure you put a little loctite or RTV on the jam
nuts or a few kmiles down the road you may find
yourself back under, looking for that annoying
click/clunk on turns.

I'd much rather see you install it with the chassis on jack stands and the axle hanging free. That way it can't shift sideways and there is no danger of it landing on your head. Either approach may work, mine is safer.

Be safe and have fun!
