Rear brakes make a clicking noise
A while back I installed Powerslot slotted and dimpled rotors and Pep Boys ceramic pads on the rear. Since then it has been noisy, sounds like a clicking like when your riding a ten speed bike and stop pedaling. Last week I took the pads off and noticed the adhesive backing that goes on the ouside pads was coming off. I took them off and used disk brake quiet instead. After reinstalling brakes the noise is quieter but still there. The brakes work great with no warping, just noise. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chuck

The clicking is the air pockets in the dimpled rotors. Normal - sound funny but that is what they do.
My dimpled rotors tick as I drive - good comparison to the ten speed bike.
A way to double check, if my theory is right jack up the car, take off the wheels , spray the rotors down with water and rotate them . . you should here little popping/ clicking noses cause by the water.
