When putting 5/8 heater hose on a rear spring should I actually slide the coil end into the hose? Or should the hose be cut and just draped over the spring's top coil and use a zip tie to secure it? I was gonna use 5/16 hose and just slit the bottom and zip tie it on- would this work as well?
Thanks

I didn't cut it either. I slid it on. The first spring I did was somewhat difficult to slide the heater hose on. I then decided that I would lube the beejeezus out of the other spring so it would slide right on. It did, and now I have this annoying squeak on the side which was mega lubed because it slid right the hell back off. Metal to metal under there and I checked to be sure. Sucks. So just be patient. It will go on and don't lube it too much.

I did this to reduce the light rear end feeling under braking and cornering at high speeds and to improve rear weight transfer. I did not really notice much change in launch traction but the back end definitely feels less loose at high speeds - I didn't really like the "its going to spin" feeling when getting on the brakes in a turn at 100mph.
