Do you MIG or TIG your subframes SFC on?

Default Do you MIG or TIG your subframes SFC on?

My global west subframes say to TIG them, so I'm just checking to see what most of you do. The only place I can find around here wants to MIG weld them on.

I got mine tig'd by a local guy working out of his garage.

Depending on who does the work, TIG is going to cost you alot more $. I don't see anything wrong w/ MIG, I'm sure 90% of the people on this board had theirs MIG'd. It may not be as pretty but it works.

I didnt know of anyone TIG welding SFC's, I have always MIG'd or had them MIG'd

Well I found a shop to TIG mine in, it was a pain but it looks really good/strong.

What are the subframes made of? If they are CM then it would be better to Tig them, if they are Mild Steel then it wouldnt matter, If you mig them in it is alot cheaper just as strong
