Default LCA and suspension question

Alright, just a quick pretty easy general question, I havent done much research on suspension so here it goes, I have always heard boxed LCA's are stronger than tubular, but are the steel boxed LCA's just as strong or stronger than tubular chrome moly LCA's, and after that question, is chrome moly stronger and lighter or just one or just the other than the normal steel suspension mods(such as torque arm and lca's).

Chrome moly is much stronger and lighter than steel. As for boxed steel LCA being stronger than tubular chromemoly LCA's I have no Idea.

You don't really ever hear of lower control arms breaking or very very rarely so you should be fine with many of the applications available. I see no reason why a tubular LCA would not suit your needs what ever that may be.

Chrome-moly is much stronger then mild steel (Higher tensile and yield) therefor you can use a thinner material to produce a lighter product.

The stock LCA's are made of mild steel and are designed to twist. In fact, they have to in order for the suspension to work correctly. But for pure drag racing, you don't care about this. Tubular LCA's with high quality steel rod ends are the best and work well for any type of racing. It's just that they wear out faster than rubber or poly.
