Default Steering gear

Is there any way to change the steering gear ratio? The wheel turn doesn't feel responsive enough to me when I'm drifting around. Basicaly, I feel like it takes too much steering wheel input(wheel turns) to get wheels to turn the amount I want. Does anyone make a different worm gear assembly?

A whole rack is gonna have to be swapped out for the ratio change.

Manual steering rack or aftermarket one (don't know of any)

The V6's have a different steering ratio but it takes more turns of the wheel compared to the V8 ratio.

A V6 rack will not fit an LS1 car. Someone I know did the engine swap in a '98 Camaro . The bottom is a LS1 rack and top a V6 , the angle where the steering column connects is off just far enough not to work.

Sonofabitch. This is just like when I wanted to get different 1-4 gears swapped out.

The weird thing here is the part#s for the V6 rack and the LT1 rack are the same .The LS1 is different ,go figure. I didn't even consider doing a rack conversion on my RS , I'm using an IROC-Z quick ratio steering box and stock front end components. I had the option of using a rack when I bought a tubular K-member but chose not to.

Could I use the IROC steering box and leave the rest the same?
