Default Do OEM type rotors make sense for my situaton?

My front rotors have developed hairline cracks and I plan to replace them with regular ol’ OEM type rotors from AutoZone. I would appreciate feedback as to whether this is the right to go.

The car is used almost exclusively for drag racing. It has about 19,000 miles on the odometer including about 600 to 700 ¼-mile passes. To give you a feel for how hard I am breaking, I run low 12’s at about 111 mph through the traps. From reading various posts on here, I get the impression that there is very little advantage to drilled and slotted rotors for drag racing other than appearance.

True? False?

They should work great. Drilled rotors also provide a weight savings, although I'm not sure if thats where I would want to shave weight.

Yes, just use an OEM style unit. You don't need a crossdrilled, slotted rotor. In you application, it's a complete waste of your money. You could also go to a smaller rotor if you can make it work for you
